The weekend is looking rather quiet, but also very cloudy. Skies will remain overcast through Saturday, then mostly cloudy skies with a few peeks of sunshine Sunday. Temps will be on the rise through the weekend as well. Highs will be in the mid to upper 30's on Saturday and near 40 on Sunday.
Things will continue to warm up as our next big system moves into the area. We'll see mostly cloudy skies and climbing temps Monday as the system approaches. Scattered rain showers will move in late Monday evening, then we'll continue with off and on rain through Tuesday. Colder air will move in on the back side of this system early Wednesday. This will mean a messy mix of rain and snow through the morning, then eventually a change to all snow through the rest of the day. Light scattered snow will then continue overnight and through Christmas Day.
Because of the warmer temps and the rain, the snow won't be able to accumulate much. However, still be careful wile driving. This is especially true on Wednesday as the rain changes to snow. Slick roads are almost a given.
